ABOUT TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Season Series: Greenville Leads 5-0
The Nailers return to WesBanco Arena for the first time since February 5, when the Nailers defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones 6-2. Wheeling is coming off a tough 3-1 loss at Elmira. The Nailers special teams units are near the top of the league. Wheeling boasts the second best penalty kill unit in the ECHL, while ranked fourth best on the power play.
Greenville blanked Toledo 3-0 last night in front of an announced crowd of 8,000 at the Huntington Center. Goaltender Nic Riopel stopped all 24 shots faced in the game. The Road Warriors uphold thier namesake, posting the second most road wins in the league with 16. Greenville currently holds the first place spot in the South Division.
