Countdown to Face-Off

Meeting for the fourth time in a span of eight days, the Kalamazoo Wings will head to the Huntington Center to play the first of two straight road games against the Toledo Walleye during the State Line Face-Off Series, Presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company.

Concluding their most grueling portion of their schedule, seven games in nine days, the K-Wings enter today looking to extend their season-high 10-game (8-0-0-2) unbeaten streak. With 64 points, Kalamazoo leads the North Division by three points over the Wheeling Nailers

Winless in two straight games, the Walleye are in fourth place in the North Division, three points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones. Currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 54 points, a victory this afternoon by Toledo would leap-frog them into eight place into the conference.

Friday night's victory over Toledo proved to a clinching victory for Kalamazoo in the State Line Face-Off Series, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company. The win secured the AmeriGas Trophy, a $500 donation to the charity of the team's choice and a unique fan experience a lucky K-Wings fan.

Forward Trent Daavettila enters tonight on a six-game point streak. Daavettila, who holds the K-Wings' season-high for consecutive games with a point with 12, has notched 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) over the course of his current streak.

Nearing Milestones

Forwards Aaron Clarke and Darryl Lloyd are closing in on personal milestones. Clarke is one assist shy of 100 in his career, while Lloyd's next goal will be the 100th in his pro career.

Kalamazoo enters tonight unbeaten in regulation in 10 straight (8-0-0-2) games. The 10-game streak is the longest unbeaten streak by the K-Wings this season and the longest current unbeaten streak in the ECHL.
