Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced seven transactions prior to their home game at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday against the Trenton Devils. Goaltender Alex Petizian has been returned by Elmira's AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, while the Jackals have signed forward Devin Guy and defenseman Leland Fidler. Elmira has loaned forward Brock McBride and defenseman Patrick Coulombe to the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, forward Michael Dubuc to the AHL's Rochester Americans, and goaltender Garrett Zemlak to Binghamton.

Petizian was acquired by Elmira in a trade with Ontario earlier this month. The rookie from St. Lawrence (NCAA, D-1) has not played in a game with the Jackals this season.

Devin Guy, a second-year pro from Highland Falls, N.Y., has 26 points (9g-17a) with the Danbury Whalers (FHL) this season. Guy collected 116 penalty minutes and 17 points (4g-13a) in 2008-2009 with the Hudson Valley Bears (EPHL) and also had 34 penalty minutes and an assist in nine games with the CHL's Witchita Thunder.

Fidler, a rookie out of Bowdoin College (NCAA, D-III), was teammates with Guy in Danbury. The Waltham, Mass. native accumulated 61 points in four seasons at Bowdoin and has skated with three FHL teams this season.

McBride has 32 points (9g-23a) in 27 games with Elmira in 2010-2011. Coulombe leads ECHL defensemen with 33 points (11g-22a). Dubuc is second on the Jackals with 19 goals this season. Zemlak is 1-2-0-1 in net with Elmira since being acquired from the Stockton Thunder in early February.
