ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades picked gained one point in two games at South Carolina this past weekend, falling in 3-2 in regulation on Saturday night, then dropping a 4-3 overtime decision to the Stingrays on Sunday afternoon. Overall the Everblades enter this week with a record of 30-25-4 (64 pts., 3rd South Division).

THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)

Friday & Saturday, March 4 & 5 vs. South Carolina Stingrays Fri: 7:30 p.m. / Sat: 7:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades return home to begin a four-game home stand with a pair of games against the Stingrays this weekend. The games are the 9th and 10th of 13 between the South Division rivals and will be the first two between the clubs this season at Germain Arena. After last weekend's games at South Carolina the Everblades are 3-3-2 vs. Stingrays. Entering this week South Carolina holds a record of 32-21-4 (68 pts., 2nd South Division) and is 18-7-2 at home.

Special Teams Breakdown: Entering this week, here's a look at the Everblades power play and penalty killing: On the power play the Everblades rank 9th in the ECHL at 18.7 % (56-of-299)...at home the Blades are ranked 9th in the league at 18.9 % (25-of-132)...on the road the Everblades rank 7th at 18.6 % (31-of-167). On the penalty kill the Everblades find themselves 1st in the ECHL at 86.4 % (235-of-272)...at home the Everblades enter the week ranked 5th at 85.0 % (108-of-127)...on the road the Blades are currently 1st at 87.6 % (127-of-145).

Roster Moves: After a quick return visit to the Everblades lineup, both Francis Lemieux and Alex Imbeault are being re-called back up to the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League. Both players have skated in the last three games the Whale have played although neither has registered a point. Additionally the Everblades have release goaltender Adam Avramenko and defenseman Joe Tolles whom they added to the roster from the Augusta RiverHawks of the SPHL for this past weekend's games.

League Leaders: Coming into this week Everblades forward Francis Lemieux is second in the ECHL in scoring with his 73 points and is tied for fourth in the league in goals with 28 and finds himself second in the ECHL in assists with his 45. Forward Alex Imbeault is currently tied for the league lead in goals scored with 31 and leading the ECHL in power play goals with 14.

Who's Hot: Here's a look at who's currently riding hot streaks. F Francis Lemieux has tallied at least one point in 10 of the last 11 games (8g, 13a)...F Alex Imbeault has picked up points in four straight games (4g, 3a)...F Matt Beca has recorded points in five straight games (4g, 5a) and seven of the last eight (5g, 6a)...F Ross Carlson has notched a point in seven of the last eight games (2g, 7a).

Single-Season Team Records: A few players on this year's squad are approaching Everblade all-time single-season records with their numbers. F Francis Lemieux has moved into eighth overall in single-season history for points in one year with 73 and is now ninth all-time in assists with his 44...Lemieux is also two goals from being in the top 10...F Alex Imbeault now tied for seventh all-time for goals in a season with his 31 and is now tied for second all time in power play goals in one year with 14...G Bobby Goepfert is quickly moving toward the top 10 in a couple single-season goaltending categories finding himself one game away from cracking the top 10 and one win shy of moving into 10th all-time.

Long Time Rivals: When the Everblades and Stingrays meet up this weekend it will continue what is the longest rivalry for the Everblades in their history. This is the 13th year of the long time division rivalry and including games this season the Blades and Rays have met a total of 110 times. Heading into this weekend's action the Everblades hold a record of 58-37-15 vs. South Carolina. The next longest rivalry the Everblades have is against the Pensacola Ice Pilots who they faced 79 times. The longest current rival ECHL team for Florida is the Gwinnett Gladiators who, including this season, they have faced 76 times.

In the Community: The Everblades will be busy participants in the community this week. With Dr. Seuss' birthday coming up on Wednesday, Everblades players will be heading out to six different schools this week to read to students as part of Read Across America.
