This evening will be the rubber match of the week between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Florida Everblades. Kalamazoo defeated Florida on Wednesday, while the Everblades avenged the loss last night at the Germain Arena. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-2-0-0 against the 'Blades.

Suffering a six-goal loss last night, their worst of the season, the K-Wings surrendered a season-high nine goals in a 9-3 loss to the Everblades. Tonight concludes a three-game road swing for Kalamazoo, who will also be playing their final road game against a team outside their division.

With their victory, Florida pushed their unbeaten in regulation home streak to seven games, going 5-0-1-1 during the stretch. With 62 points, Florida is in fourth place in the South Division and is in seventh place overall in the Eastern Conference.

Gill Heads to Bridgeport

A day after being named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Month for February, Riley Gill has been loaned to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. With Gill in the AHL, Kalamazoo has added Brian Markowicz as an emergency goaltender.

Feels Like the First Time

Forward Prab Rai earned his first goal in his pro career last night for the K-Wings. The goal was Rai's first since on March 14, 2010, when he was in juniors.

Breaking Away

Penalty shots are nothing new for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo leads the ECHL with penalty shots attempted with eight (1-for-8) and penalty shots allowed (4-of 5 saved).

Dishing it Out

The K-Wings 9-3 lost last night set two season highs for Kalamazoo. The nine goals were the most allowed by Kalamazoo, while the six-goal defeat marked the biggest deficit of defeat for the K-Wings.
