Fallon Called up to Houston Aeros

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goaltender Joe Fallon has been called up to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Leading the ECHL with 30 wins and 2,739 minutes played, Fallon has appeared in 47 games for the Wranglers this season. The 27-year-old netminder ranks fifth in the league with a 2.39 goals-against average and a 0.912 save percentage. Fallon, 27, was called up to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers for one game in December, and named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 23 - 29.

Last night, the Bemidji, Minn. native stopped 28 of 29 shots from the Idaho Steelheads to earn a 5-1 win. The Wranglers have signed Doug Melvin as an emergency back-up goaltender for tonight's road game against the Steelheads at 6:05 p.m.
