In a game with a little more meaning than normal, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Gwinnett Gladiators during the first-ever Susan G. Komen K-Wings for a Cure. Tonight is the second and final meeting in the regular season between the teams. Kalamazoo defeated Gwinnett last Sunday 4-3 in a shootout.
With a 4-3 shootout victory last night over the Cincinnati Cyclones, the K-Wings extended their winning streak to three games. All three victories have been decided by a single goal. Tonight will commence a four-game home stand for Kalamazoo.
Staring a seven-game road swing last night with a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Express, Gwinnett snapped a season-high seven-game road losing streak. With 67 points, the Gladiators are in first place in the South Division and own the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Roster Moves
The K-Wings made several roster moves prior to tonight's game. Goaltender Riley Gill has been loaned to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Wes O'Neill has been activated off the 21-Day IR, Mario Passarelli has been signed as an emergency goaltender and Brent Clarke has been traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones for future considerations.
Pretty in Pink
Tonight the K-Wings will play on Pink Ice during the first-ever Susan G. Komen K-Wings for the Cure contest. Kalamazoo, who plays on Pink Ice for Valentine's Day, has won their last nine home games played on Pink Ice.
Mr. 300
Forward Darryl Bootland enters tonight nearing an impressive milestone. Bootland next point will be his 100th of his career.
Heating Up
Forwards Darryl Bootland, Trent Daavettila and Eric Kattelus all have earned points in three straight games. The three-game point streaks are the longest current point streak by a member of the K-Wings.
