After playing each other eight times this season, including tonight, in the first two and half months of the season, this will be the last meeting between the Kalamazoo Wings and Chicago Express until mid-February. On the season, Kalamazoo is 4-2-0-1 against Chicago.

Suffering through their longest win drought of the season, Kalamazoo prepares for their final road game of 2011 looking to snap a four-game losing streak. The K-Wings enter tonight in first place in the North Division, just two points ahead of the Express.

Commencing a five-game home stand, the Express hit the ice attempting to move into a first place tie with the K-Wings. Similar to Kalamazoo, Chicago is also trying to end their recent woes. The Express enter the night on a season-long four-game winless (0-3-0-1) streak.

Roster Moves

K-Wings leading scorer, Brandon Svendsen will return tonight after being returned yesterday from the AHL's Binghamton Senators. In a separate transaction from Thursday, Kalamazoo also signed defenseman John Kivisto.

Eight was Enough

Kalamazoo surrendered a season-high eight goals on Wednesday to the Cincinnati Cyclones. The eight goals were the most allowed by the K-Wings since November 13, 2010, when they lost 8-0 to the Toledo Walleye at Wings Stadium.

Seventh Heaven

Kalamazoo's Darryl Bootland enters tonight on an impressive point streak. Bootland has earned a point in each of his last seven games, which ties Dean Strong for the K-Wings season-high this year.
