Tonight will be the first of four meetings this season between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Trenton Devils. This evening will also be the first of three encounters at the Sun National Bank Center, where the K-Wings hold a record of 2-1-0-0. All-time, Kalamazoo leads the series over Trenton with a record of 3-2-0-0.
The month of February starts to heat up for the K-Wings. Tonight begins a stretch of five games in six nights for the K-Wings, who after four days off next week will hit the ice again to commence a stretch of seven games in nine days.
For the past several seasons, the Devils have saved their best hockey for the months of February and March. This season to make the playoffs, Trenton will need to continue that trend.; with 36 points, the Devils in are in last in the Atlantic Division and hold the fewest points of any team in the Eastern Conference.

On the Road Again
After playing six straight games at home, the K-Wings are set to hit the road for a brief two-game road swing. Kalamazoo's game against Trenton tonight will be their first away from Wings Stadium in a span of 17 days.
Heating Up
Forward Andrew Fournier leads the K-Wings in overall goals scored (24) and is tied for the team-lead in power-play goals (9) and game-winners (4). Fournier has lit the lamp in three out of his last four games.
Power Surge
Kalamazoo power-play unit is starting to hit its stride. The K-Wings have scored at least one power-play goal in each of their last six games going 11-for-36 (30.6%) during that stretch.
Powering Up
Forward Kory Karlander is tied for the K-Wings team-lead in power-play goals with nine. Karlander also ranks second in the ECHL in power-play points with 25.
