Countdown to Face-off Kalamazoo Wings @ Missouri River Otters Family Arena St. Charles, Missouri Sunday, March 30, 2003 6:15 PM (CST)

Game Preview The K-Wings travel to St. Charles, Missouri, to battle the River Otters and hit the ice one last time for the 2002-2003 season. The River Otters will continue to the Colonial Cup Playoffs against the Muskegon Fury, however, tonight's game could decided whether or not the River Otters will have home ice in the series.

For the first time since being eliminated, the K-Wings could play the role of spoiler. Missouri needs a victory tonight, and a Muskegon loss in Quad City to secure home ice in the their series against the Fury. Tonight will be a big evening for the Otters, besides playing for home ice in first round, the River Otters will also be holding a retirement ceremony for Lonnie Loach.

A Return Home Tonight, will mark just the second time that Jason Brown has played against the team in which he started the season. Brown didn't play in the first time back at the Family Arena, when the K-Wings defeated the Otters 4-1. One Sided The K-Wings have owned the season series against Missouri. Kalamazoo is 6-2-3 on the season against Missouri, and are 21-9-3 lifetime against the River Otters.

Good on Sunday's So far this season, the K-Wings have played their best hockey on Sunday. Kalamazoo is 7-3-1 on games played on Sunday's.

Miller Time K-Wing forward Kurt Miller enters tonight's game on a 3 game scoring streak. In his last three games, Miller has tallied 2 goals and has added an assist.

Get Shorty The K-Wings have been on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to shorthanded goals. Kalamazoo's 14 shorthanded goals scored this season is a new franchise record, however, the 17 shorthanders allowed this season leads the UHL, and is also a franchise record.
