Chiefs Close Season With Loss

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs ended the 2002-2003 season Sunday afternoon on a losing note, as they fell to the visiting Cincinnati Cyclones ,5-3 at the War Memorial.

Ryan Shmyr, Matt Doman and Ian Manzano scored the Johnstown goals. Joe Cardareli had two goals for Cincinnati while Nick Bootland, Mike Casselman and Greg Labenski also scored.

Chiefs goaltender Mark Scally suffered the loss making 26 saves. Cyclones goaltender Peter Hamerlik picked up his 2nd win of the season making 22 saves.

The Chiefs finish the season with a 28-33-11 record. Cincinnati improves to 36-29-7 and will move onto the Kelly Cup playoffs to face either Toledo or Peoria (pending games tonight).
