Countdown to Face-Off: K-Wings at IceMen

The Kalamazoo Wings will visit the Ford Center to battle the Evansville IceMen. This evening is the seventh of 12 meetings between the K-Wings and the IceMen this season. So far, Kalamazoo is 4-2-0-0 against Evansville, including a record of 1-2-0-0 at the Ford Center.

While the K-Wings enter tonight with a record are 6-9-2-1 on the road, they have played much better lately away from Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo has won three out of their last four road contests. With 35 points, Kalamazoo enters tonight in fourth place in the North Division.

In fifth place in the North Division, the IceMen are only a single point behind the K-Wings for fourth. Tonight is the middle contest of a three-game home stand for the IceMen. Evansville, who is 10-13-0-0 at the Ford Center this season, started the home stand with a 1-0 loss last Wednesday to the Fort Wayne Komets.

Record-Breaking Performance

On Wednesday, Joel Martin established a K-Wings' single-game record for most saves in a game with 46. The 46-save performance breaks the record of 45 saves shared by shared by Julien Ellis (@ Gwinnett 11/07/09) and Jeremy Duchesne (@ Charlotte 11/08/09)

Lighting the Lamp Forward Nick Sirota has netted goals in back-to-back games. The two-game goal streak ties a season-high for Kalamazoo that has been reached 13 times this year.
