GENEVA, Ill. - A doubleheader sweep for the Kane County Cougars turned into a series sweep over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Friday night at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark with victories of 4-2 in 11 innings and 3-1.
Rock Shoulders blasted off in the bottom of the 11th in game one as he broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run rip off Jordan Harrison, handing the Cougars (12-13) their 4-2 win. Shoulders was finally able to help the Cougars break through after they stranded the winning run in scoring position in four consecutive frames.
