Friday's Game Cancelled in Burlington

May 3, 2013 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Burlington Bees News Release

Friday night's game between the Burlington Bees and Fort Wayne TinCaps has been cancelled due to rain. The game will not be made up this season.

April showers were supposed to bring May flowers, but the showers have continued into May, forcing the cancellation of the series finale between the Bees and Tincaps. This is the eighth Bees game this season that has either been postponed or cancelled due to rain/cold weather.

Fort Wayne defeated the Bees in the first two games of the series, winning on Wednesday by a 6-5 score and on Thursday afternoon by a 4-2 score. The Bees now sit with a 9-14 record, while the TinCaps are 16-10.

The nine-game homestand will continue on Saturday, as the Bees welcome the Lake County Captains into town for a three-game set. Saturday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., while Sunday will be at 2:00 p.m. and Monday at 11:30 a.m.
