Geneva, Illinois - The Kane County Cougars (53-42, 18-8) blanked the Bowling Green Hot Rods (56-40, 17-9) and used three two-run rallies to win 6-0 on Thursday night at Northwestern Medicine Field in front of 8,973 fans.
The Cougar first two-run rally was in the opening inning. Geraldo Perdomo and Alek Thomas reached at the top of the order to setup Joey Rose for an RBI double to make it 1-0. Thomas later scored on a passed ball.
The second two-run inning was the fifth. Perdomo singled in a run to make it 3-0 and Alek Thomas collected a run driven in with a fielder's choice.

Jose Cuas retired the final three batters of the night. Miller Hogan (1-3) suffered the loss for Bowling Green. He allowed three runs over 3+ innings.
