Kane County Cougars News Release

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that pitcher Al Yevoli has joined the Cougars roster while pitcher Matt Iannazzo has been placed on the 7-day disabled list. Today's roster move maintains an active squad of 25 players as the team opens a six-game road trip beginning tonight at Beloit.

Yevoli was signed to a minor league contract by the Cubs this past weekend and most recently pitched with the independent Washington (PA) Wild Things. Over his last 14 outings with Washington, the left-hander struck out 21 batters in 17 innings of relief. Yevoli helped lead Tennessee Wesleyan to the NAIA national championship in 2012.
