Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT, WI - The Chicago Cubs have announced that pitcher Scott Baker will be making a rehab appearance on Wednesday, July 24th when the Beloit Snappers take on the Kane County Cougars at Pohlman Field. The start time for the game is 7pm.

Baker, out of Shreveport, Louisiana, was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 2nd round of the 2003 amateur draft. Baker made his debut for the Twins in 2005, and spent seven seasons with the Twins as a mainstay in their starting rotation. At the end of the 2011 season, Baker had elbow surgery, keeping him from taking the field for any part of 2012. He signed with the Cubs in November of 2012 for $5.5 million and this will be his third rehab start for Kane County.
