DAYTON, OHIO - The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster change today:

Outfielder Ryan Ludwick has been assigned to the Dragons on a Major League injury rehabilitation assignment. Ludwick does not count towards the Midwest League roster limit. The Dragons roster remains at 25 players.

Ludwick is in the Dragons lineup tonight at Lansing, batting third, as the Dragons and Lugnuts battle at 7:05 p.m. Ludwick suffered a separated shoulder in the Cincinnati Reds opening day game on April 1st. He is currently on the Reds 60-day disabled list. Ludwick enjoyed an outstanding season for the Reds in 2012, batting .275 with 26 home runs and 80 runs batted in.

Ludwick is the second Major League player to play for the Dragons this season on an injury rehabilitation assignment. Johnny Cueto pitched for the Dragons on May 9 and May 14.

The Dragons open a three-game series at Lansing tonight. The Dragons return home to host Fort Wayne on Saturday, July 27 at Fifth Third Field. Call (937) 228-2287 to purchase lawn tickets or for group ticket information.
