DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Kane County Cougars' streak of consecutive winning series ended at three on Monday night after a 3-0 loss against the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park. The Cougars totaled just four hits in the game, and they committed three errors on defense after making just two total in their previous six games.
Yordano Ventura (2-4) took the loss. He gave up a pair of two-out RBI doubles -- in the first to Cody Stanley and in the third to Oscar Taveras -- over 3 2/3 innings. Antonio Cruz contributed 3 1/3 scoreless relief innings, and Chase Boruff got touched for an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth.
