GRAND CHUTE, WI (AUGUST 1) - Burlington Bees 1B A.J. Kirby-Jones has been named Midwest League Player of the Week for the week of July 25-31. Kirby-Jones went 8-22 with four home runs and 12 RBI in six games. He becomes the first Bee to win player of the week honors this season. The Bees, who have won three games in a row after snapping a nine-game losing streak, look for the three-game series sweep against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Time Warner Cable Field tonight at 7:05 p.m.

Kirby-Jones, who drove in five runs in the Bees' 8-2 win in Wisconsin on Saturday, has recorded eight RBI over the last two games. He hit home runs on July 25 in Dayton, July 27 against Beloit at Community Field, and over the last two games (July 30 and 31) here in Wisconsin.

The Bees and Timber Rattlers finish their series tonight at 7:05 p.m. RHP Jonathan Joseph (2-4, 6.85) gets the start for Burlington against RHP Maverick Lasker (1-4, 6.16) for Wisconsin. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on Newsradio 1490 KBUR and online at www.gobees.com
