Conklin to Join Bulldogs on the Road

The Edmonton Oilers, a parent club of the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, have assigned goaltender Ty Conklin to Hamilton. Conklin is expected to join the Bulldogs for their game on Wednesday, April 2nd in Bridgeport.

Conklin, a 27-year-old native of Anchorage, Alaska, has played in 35 games for the Bulldogs this season and has posted a record of 18 wins, 13 losses and two ties. As well, the 6'0, 180 pound goaltender has earned a .917 save percentage and a 2.50 goals against average. Conklin was voted a starting goaltender for PlanetUSA at the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic, but did not play due to injury. Conklin was originally recalled by the Oilers on Sunday, March 30th.

The Hamilton Bulldogs have also signed Peter Hogan to a Professional Tryout Contract. Hogan, a 6'3", 183 pound defenceman, has played in 67 games for the Richmond Renegades of the East Coast Hockey League earning 40 points (8-32-40), along with 64 penalty minutes. The 25-year-old Oshawa native has also played in two games with the AHL's Cleveland Barons this season.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action takes place tomorrow night as forward Raffi Torres faces his former club the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
