CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors went 1-1 last week on a trip to Utah against the Grizzlies, including a thrilling 1-0 shutout win on Friday night. Bakersfield is 10-27-3-1 on the season with 24 points in the standings.

With the game tied 3-3 and less than eight minutes remaining in regulation, F Paul McIlveen scored three times to c omplete a four-game night and double up the Condors. F Robby Dee, LW Jesse Gimblett and D/F Alain Goulet scored for the Condors.

G Bryan Pitton made 38 saves, including 21 in the third period alone, for his first shutout of the season, and the Condors pulled out of Utah with a 1-0 victory on Friday. C Aaron Lewadniuk scored his first goal as a Condor in the win.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
The last time the Condors won 1-0 was almost a year ago to the day, Jan. 22, 2011 at Las Vegas.F Robby Dee scored his first career American Hockey League goal for the Abbotsford Heat Saturday night. He had two shots on goal in his AHL debut Friday night. G Bryan Pitton's last shutout came on Nov 5, 2010, when he made 19 saves in a victory over the Condors (as a member of the Stockton Thunder).In the month of January, Pitton is 2-2 with a 2.03 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. He has stopped 117 of 125 shots faced in the four games.Pitton and G Matt Keetley have combined for 80 saves in their two shutouts this season.D Erik Burgdoerfer played in his 100th game Friday.

The Condors return to home ice to host three games this week: Alaska on Wednesday, Jan. 25, and Ontario on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28.
On Friday the first 2,000 kids 12 and under will get a Condors Toothbrush, sponsored by Hot Hits 93.1 and Smileworld Dental. On Saturday the ZOOperstars return to Condorstown, featuring the likes of Whale Gretzky, LeBronco James and more, sponsored by ABC23, 101.5 KGFM and Mercy & Memorial Hospitals.
