Brittain, Schaus Head Back to Crunch

The Elmira Jackals announced on Monday that forward Josh Brittain and defenseman Nick Schaus have been recalled to their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

Brittain, a second-year pro, scored two goals in Elmira's 7-4 win over Wheeling on Saturday to extend the Jackals' division lead to eight points over the Nailers. The Milton, Ontario product has three goals in five games with the Jackals in 2011-2012. Brittain has one assist in 14 games with Syracuse this season.

Schaus, a native of Orchard Park, N.Y., has four assists in five games with Elmira this season. The second-year pro has scored one goal to go along with three assists for four points with the Crunch in 2011-2012.
