Walleye Notes
- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 1-2-0-0 record. Toledo started the week with a 3-0 loss in Johnstown against Wheeling on Friday. The Walleye rebounded with a 5-4 win in Reading on Saturday night when they scored three unanswered goals late in the third period. Sunday afternoon, the Walleye finished out the week with a 6-1 loss at Trenton.
- Coming Alive Late! Toledo trailed Reading 4-2 with less than seven minutes left in the third period on Saturday night before rallying. The comeback started at 14:19 when Walleye forward Aaron Lewicki scored his second goal of the game. With less than two minutes left, Toledo Head Coach Nick Vitucci pulled goaltender Rob Nolan for the extra attacker and it paid off. Walleye forward Kyle Rogers scored to tie the game at four at 18:46 of the third. Just 10 seconds later, Harrison Reed blasted a shot in to propel Toledo to the win.
- Pointing Up! Walleye forward Adam Estoclet has collected 18 points (6 goals, 12 assists) in his 19 games with the Walleye this season. Adam assisted on three of the five goals Toledo scored Saturday.
- Gametime: Toledo has three games on the slate for this weekend. The week starts Friday night when the Walleye will host Division Rival Chicago. Toledo is 5-3-0 against the Express this season. Saturday night, Toledo will welcome the Reading Royals to Toledo. Toledo has won both games played against the Royals, scoring a total of 10 goals. The weekend will conclude for Toledo Sunday evening with a game against Wheeling in Johnstown. Toledo is 1-1-1-0 against the Nailers this year.
- Promotions: Friday night features "Hockey and Hops", a beer tasting event with the Walleye. There is also a post-game party with the players following the game. Saturday night is Hockey Heritage Night presented by the Toledo Blade. The Walleye will wear special Toledo Hornets Jerseys (1970-74). Also on Saturday, the first 3,000 fans to enter the Huntington Center will receive a mini pennant!
