Beca Returns from Charlotte of the AHL

ESTERO, FL -- The Florida Everblades announced Monday that forward Matt Beca has been reassigned to the Everblades by the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Beca returns to the Blades after posting an assist in seven games played with the Checkers in his recent call up. Beca registered 20 points (9g, 11a) during the month of the December, while totaling 28 points (10g, 18a) in 31 appearances with the Everblades this season. Last season, the 5-10, 181-pound forward registered a 50 point season with Florida scoring 22 goals and 28 assists.

In 2010, the Mississauga, Ontario native appeared in five games with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League scoring one goal, following his four year Collegiate at Clarkson University.

The Everblades open up a six-game homestand this Wednesday against the Greenville Road Warriors beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Germain Arena. Fans can enjoy $2 drafts, $2 wines, and $2 hot dogs all night long. Guys can receive a $5 ticket and Ladies can get in free when they present their college I.D. to the Capital Bank Box Office at Germain Arena. Must have a college I.D. in order to receive either offer. The two teams will meet again on Thursday and Saturday of this week at Germain arena.
