
Condors Training Camp Begins This Week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors 2005 training camp is set to begin at the end of the week. For the second consecutive year, the Condors training camp will be held at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center on 1325 Q Street. Players will report Thursday for orientation and physicals, then take the ice for the first time Friday morning.
The first on-ice session will commence at 8:30am on Friday morning. The Condors Annual Open House and Family Day will take place Sunday, October 9th, with a "Skate with the Condors" planned for 2:00 - 3:00pm and a team scrimmage from 3:30 - 5:00pm. Admission is free with the donation of two canned food items for the Salvation Army Food Pantry. Fans may bring their own skates or rent them at the Ice Sports Center for $3
The Body Xchange at 7701 White Lane, the official workout facility of the Condors, will serve as a destination for the team nearly every afternoon during training camp.
The team will take the ice every day through October 22nd, when the Condors open the regular season against the Victoria Salmon Kings. The team will take part in a pair of preseason games, hosting Fresno on October 15th, at 7:00pm and traveling to San Diego on October 16th, at 3:30pm. Training camp will end on Thursday, October 21st.

Other notes: B2 Networks, the official broadband broadcast provider of the ECHL, will once again provide fans with live video webcasts of all Condors home and away games during the 2005-06 season. Games will be available for $6 per game through the team's homepage, www.bakersfieldcondors.com.
The Bakersfield Condors regular season opens in 17 days on October 22nd at home against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
