
Lynx add trio for camp

Three more players will join the Lynx in training camp when it opens this Sunday at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, as the team announced today that is has agreed to terms with defenseman Chris Pedota and forwards Paul Kelly and Joe Pereira.
Pereira's name may be the most familiar to Lynx fans, as the 25-year-old forward has spent the last two seasons in the ECHL splitting time between the Texas Wildcatters, Peoria Rivermen, and Fresno Falcons. Since his pro debut, the 6-2, 200 lb. Abbotsford, BC native has scored four goals and 19 points in 94 contests while accumulating 222 PIMs.
Kelly played the last two seasons with SUNY Plattsburgh, appearing in 57 games with 34 goals and 63 points. Standing 6-0 and 205 lbs., Kelly also spent a season with Tri City in the USHL where he notched ten goals and 18 points in 32 games, and played 40 games in the 1999-00 season with Boston College (3-2-5).
On the defensive side of the puck, Rochester, NY native Pedota spent three years at Bowling Green State University before turning pro with Dayton in the ECHL last year. With Dayton for nine matches, Pedota scored once and six points and six penalties in minutes. While with Bowling Green, He posted one goal and 13 points in 54 games.
