Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors will open their season this Saturday night against the Victoria Salmon Kings. Face off is 7:00pm at the Rabobank Arena.

Every fan through the turnstiles will get a free 2005-06 magnet schedule, courtesy of KGEO AM 1230 and Watson Realty. The stylish magnets are great for refrigerators at home or filing cabinets at work, allowing fans a quick reference for planning trips to the Rabobank Arena this year.

Opening Night will also be your chance to see "The Filthies," a pop/punk/indie band, who will be performing songs from the forthcoming "Growing Up Fighting: Bakersfield Hockey Volume 1," a compilation CD before the game on the Centennial Plaza and inside during the 1st intermission.

After the game, Condors Kevin St. Jacques and Dennis Shiryaev will be on hand for autographs at the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth on the concourse behind section 108.

This is the only chance to see the Condors before they head off to Alaska for a three-game stint in Anchorage. All games, home and away, can be seen online by B2 Networks, accessible via www.bakersfieldcondors.com, and can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230 with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to face off. Select games, including Saturday's Opening Night, will be televised on Bright House Networks (cable channel 21).

It's not too late to secure premium seat locations for this weekend's game by purchasing a ticket package. Contact the Condors office at 324- PUCK (7825) for more information.

Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com or at any Ticketmaster location.
