Chiefs Set Opening Night Roster

Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, PA (October 19, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs announced their opening day roster for the 2005-06 season. The Chiefs begin the season in Friday night in Columbia, SC when they take on the Inferno.
Returning to the Chiefs are forwards Joe Tallari, Dmitri Tarabrin and Jean Desrochers. Defensemen Brett Peterson, Ian Manzano and goaltender David Currie also return
New to the team are forwards including Steve Cygan, Zybnek Hrdel, Randy Rowe, John Toffey, Brandon Elliot, and J.B. Bittner, a Pittsburgh native. Left Wing Jason Spence also returns to the Chiefs after spending last year with the Las Vegas Wranglers.
New defensemen include, Ben Wallace, Jeremy Downs, Tyler Kindle, Jay Rosehill, and Doug Andress.
Goalie Jonathan Boutin was the 3rd round choice of Tampa Bay in 2003 will make his professional debut.
The Chiefs also announced today that forwards Dennis Packard and Justin Kelly have been recalled to Springfield of the AHL.
Released by the Chiefs are Chad Cavanagh, Dave Stewart, Steve Slonina, Milan Vodrazka, and John Haider. J.F. Soucy was re assigned earlier in the week by Tampa Bay to the Phoenix Roadrunners (ECHL).
The 2005-2006 season is presented by First National Bank. The home schedule begins Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. against the Reading Royals. For tickets call 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
