Condors and KGEO Renew Partnership

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Condors games will once again be heard on KGEO AM 1230 during the 2005-06 ECHL season, beginning with the season opener versus Victoria on October 22nd.

Every game this season will be carried live with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to the drop of the puck. Home games will again include a post-game call-in show. In addition, KGEO will also carry the "Condors Coach's Show" from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday nights live from the Holiday Inn Select at 801 Truxtun Avenue. The first "Condors Coach's Show" of the season will be this Thursday, October 6th.

Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting Devin Rossiter will make his debut as the "Voice of the Condors" and host the "Coach's Show" along with Head Coach Marty Raymond. The radio broadcasts will be made available online through the team's website, bakersfieldcondors.com.

"The Bakersfield Condors are an incredible organization and we're just honored we can be a part of the team," said KGEO Program Director Tony "Puck" Whitnack. "We love our local sports, and the Bakersfield Condors play a huge factor in the make-up of our hometown spirit."

"The KGEO relationship has been a foundation for this team," said Rossiter. "Puck and American General Media have done a superb job of organizing our broadcasts in the past. I'm anxious to get behind the microphone for that first game."

Condors Open House and Family Day will take place at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center on Sunday, October 9th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Admission is free with the donation of two canned food items for the Salvation Army Food Pantry.

The Bakersfield Condors regular season opens in 19 days on October 22nd at home against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
