
Inaugural season gears up as players hit the ice on Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced it will open its inaugural training camp, in preparation for the 2005-06 season, at Stockton's Oak Park Rink beginning this Saturday, October 8th.
All practices will be free of admission and open to the public. The Thunder will take the ice beginning Saturday at 9am, with the first practice session running until 10:30am. The team will re-convene for a second session that day, running from 2:30- 3:45pm.
Complete training camp times and dates are listed below. All times are subject to change.
Highlighting the week of training camp, which will conclude Tuesday, October 18th, will be three exhibition games the Thunder is scheduled to play against the Pacific Division rivals Fresno Falcons and Bakersfield Condors. Stockton opens the exhibition season with back-to-back contests, first taking on Fresno on Wednesday, October 12th at 7:30pm at Gateway Ice in Fresno, followed by an October 13th 1pm tilt with the Condors at Bakersfield Ice.
The Thunder wraps up the exhibition schedule Sunday, October 16th against the Falcons, with a 5pm faceoff at Gateway Ice.
Stockton opens its inaugural regular season on Saturday, October 22nd at Fresno, while hosting the Falcons in the Thunder's inaugural home opener on Saturday, December 3rd.
