Training camp opens Monday, October 10

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners will commence their first season as a member of the ECHL when they open training camp at 8AM on Monday, October 10 with introductory team meetings and physicals at America West Arena

In preparation for the 2005-06 season and the season opener on October 22 at home against Utah, the RoadRunners will play three pre-season games during training camp. Phoenix will travel to Mira Mesa, Calif. to meet the San Diego Gulls for a pair of games at 7PM on Friday, October 14 and at 5PM on Saturday, October 15. The RoadRunners will host their inaugural "Blue-White Game" at 6:30PM on Wednesday, October 19 at the Alltel Ice Den in North Scottsdale to conclude the pre-season schedule.

The RoadRunners training camp schedule through October 19 is listed below. All practices will be held at the Arcadia Ice Arena, which is located at 3853 East Thomas Road in Phoenix. All practices during training camp are open to the public and the media.

The Phoenix RoadRunners will host their first annual Ice Breaker Party presented by Texas Roadhouse from 12PM-4PM this Saturday inside the Casino Arizona Pavilion at America West Arena. Select your seats for the 2005-06 regular season right on the spot and meet RoadRunners players, coaches, and staff.

RoadRunners professional hockey returns to downtown Phoenix at 7PM on Saturday, October 22 when the Utah Grizzlies visit America West Arena in the ECHL season opener for both teams.
