
Everblades get two sent down from AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that two players have been assigned to the Everblades from the American Hockey League. Forward Daniel Sisca and defenseman Bryce Charpentier were both added to the Everblades roster following the weekend.
Charpentier returns to the Everblades after signing a two-way deal with the Grand Rapids Griffins, and participating in their AHL training Camp. Last season Charpentier skated in 40 games with the Everblades notching six points (1g, 5a) and adding 149 penalty minutes. The 23-year-old began the 2004-05 season with the Peoria Rivermen before being acquired by the Everblades in a December trade.
With the Rivermen, Charpentier skated 12 games, picking up one assist and 47 PIM. The Temecula, California native began his professional career in 2003-04 splitting time between the Long Beach Ice Dogs and the Toledo Storm of the ECHL. Overall last year, Charpentier played in 55 games collecting five assists, and picking up 270 PIM. Prior to turning pro Charpentier played three seasons at the junior level in the North American Hockey League and the British Columbia Hockey League.
Sisca will make his professional debut in 2005-06 after being sent to the Everblades from the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL. The 22-year-old spent 2004-05 playing overseas with Varese HC in the Italian League, where he scored 17 goals and picked up 18 assists in 36 games. Prior to heading overseas, the native of Woodbridge, Ontario spent five seasons in the OHL with Owen Sound, Mississauga, and Sarnia. Sisca's best season at the junior level came in 2003-04 when he notched 100 points (34g, 66a) in 67 games with the Sarnia Sting. Overall in his five OHL seasons, Sisca tallied 332 points in 314 games.
