Columbus Recalls Lindstrom

Syracuse, NY (March 30, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Joakim Lindstrom from Syracuse. The team also announced that they have recalled right wing Brent Walton from Dayton (ECHL).

Lindstrom, 23, has appeared in 50 games with Syracuse this season, tallying 22 goals, 26 assists and 34 penalty minutes. In five games with Columbus earlier this season, Lindstrom tallied his first NHL goal and two penalty minutes. A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom was selected by Columbus in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Walton, 23, has appeared in 57 games with Dayton this season, recording 24 goals, 20 assists and 46 penalty minutes. He appeared in seven games earlier this season with Syracuse without recording a point. A native of Elmira, Ontario, Walton signed an AHL contract with Syracuse this off-season.
