Moose Re-assign Ellis to Victoria

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they rea-ssigned goaltender Julien Ellis to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL.

Ellis, 21, has appeared in eight games with the Moose so far in his first season of professional hockey. He has compiled a record of 1-7-0 with a goals against average of 3.37 and a save percentage of .884. His first AHL victory came in his last start Mar. 24/07 vs. Grand Rapids when Ellis made 21 saves for a 4-3 shootout win.

Ellis has also appeared in 34 games this year with the Salmon Kings where he is 18-14-2 with a 3.31 goals against average and a .910 save percentage and was named to the ECHL All-Star Game.

Ellis was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with their sixth choice, 189th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
