Colorado Rapids Goalkeeper Zack Steffen Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids announced that goalkeeper Zack Steffen has undergone successful shoulder surgery. Steffen is expected to miss approximately 5-6 months.

Steffen, 31, has made 78 appearances across all competitions for Colorado since joining the club from Manchester City F.C. in January 2024. The Coatesville, Pennsylvania native has logged 7,022 minutes and recorded 12 clean sheets during his time with the club. In MLS regular season play, Steffen ranks fourth in club history among goalkeepers in winning percentage (49.23%), sixth in minutes played (5,850), seventh in appearances (65), wins (26), and saves (240).
