Colorado Eagles News Release
Last Week's Games:
(Wednesday, Feb. 17th @ Toledo) Eagles defenseman Adrian Veideman notched a goal and two assists while Colorado buried three power-play goals on the night, but a bizarre deflection off a partition sent a routine Toledo dump-in into the back of the Eagles net for the game-winner, as Colorado fell 4-3 to the Walleye on Wednesday. The game was the first ever meeting between Colorado and Toledo and the first game in a four-game road trip for the Eagles
(Friday, Feb. 19th @ Kalamazoo) Forward Trent Daavettila scored a short-handed goal that gave Colorado a 3-1 lead in the first period, but a flurry of Wings goals sent Kalamazoo to a 6-5 victory on Friday. Goaltender Clarke Saunders got the start for Colorado, but gave way to Eric Levine after surrendering five goals on 19 shots in what was the Eagles first ever visit to Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
(Saturday, Feb. 20th @ Kalamazoo) Colorado went 2-for-3 on the powerplay, but a three-goal second period propelled Kalamazoo to a 6-3 victory on Saturday. Trent Daavettila posted a goal and an assist, while fellow forward Curt Gogol registered a pair of assists in the loss.
(Sunday, Feb. 21st @ Fort Wayne) Adrian Veideman continued his hot play with an overtime game-winning goal that capped-off the Eagles 4-game roadtrip with a 5-4 victory in Fort Wayne on Sunday. Sean Ringrose scored his first goal as an Eagle, while Jake Marto, Peter MacIntyre and Curt Gogol each added a goal in the effort. Clarke Saunders claimed his seventh win of the season, making 36 saves on 40 shots.
