Colorado Eagles Foundation Commits Funds To Windsor Playground

March 18, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - Upon the grand opening of Inspiration Playground in Fort Collins (a universally-accessible playground for children of all ability levels), Colorado Eagles CEO, Martin Lind, committed to helping build similar playgrounds across Northern Colorado. Through the Colorado Eagles Foundation, Lind and the Eagles are making good on that promise by again committing funds to another "boundless playground" to be built in the Town of Windsor's Boardwalk Park.

The Colorado Eagles Foundation is the primary contributor to the new project, pledging $25,000, plus - along with Lind - agreeing to match another potential $25,000 of community contributions. Other funds committed so far total $18,200. The Colorado Eagles Foundation is challenging the community to help contribute until the $25,000 goal is met; contributions are tax-deductible.

"We got involved in the special needs playgrounds to elevate the quality of life for the special needs child and their family. This cause is unselfish and touches the lives of all of Northern Colorado," said Lind about Windsor's newest potential addition. "The playgrounds will become ant hills of happiness and we won't stop until our fan base has one in every community."

Grant awards will be announced on June 3, and if the grant is awarded, construction of the new playground is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2008. For more information, please contact Melissa M. Chew, CPRP, Director of Parks & Recreation at (970) 674-2423.
