Chad Woollard's Hat Trick Is Voted The Performance Of The Week

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Mississippi forward Chad Woollard's hat trick on March 8th in Rocky Mountain has been voted by the fans of the CHL the Performance of the Week. The RiverKings scoring star helped the RiverKings to a 6-2 victory over the Rage completing a two-win weekend in the state of Colorado (the RiverKings defeated the Eagles on the previous night). The win capped off a 3-0-1 road trip for Mississippi.

RiverKing's fans came out in full casting over 80% of the polls vote for Woollard's hat trick. The Durham, Ontario native's feat received 4,173 votes. In all, 5,117 votes were cast during the poll. Earning second place was Kyle Bruce scoring the game winner on a penalty shot in overtime in the Wichita Thunders 3-2 win on March 5th vs. Mississippi (635 votes). Woollard's hat trick will be automatically considered as a finalist for the 2007-08 CHL Performance of the Year which will be announced in April, 2008.

Woollard is in his first season with the RiverKings and his ninth season overall. He currently leads the RiverKings with 35 goals and is second on the team with 62 points. Mississippi is in a fight for a Northern Conference playoff spot leading Rocky Mountain by one point for the fifth and final spot.

Arthur Kiyaga (TUL) scoring his first pro goal in his 130th pro game, March 14

Cory Urquhart (ARZ) scoring four goals in 7-2 win versus Amarillo, March 14

Konrad Reeder (NMX) recording six points in 8-5 win at Rocky Mountain, March 15

Ryan Campbell and Chad Woollard (MIS) each recording career-high five point games in 5-2 win vs. Tulsa, March 14

Guy St. Vincent (TUL) recording 50 saves in 3-2 win at Rocky Mountain, March 16
