Clouthier Returns to Cyclones

Cincinnati, OH-Cyclones General Manager and Coach Chris Cichocki announced today that Brett Clouthier has been sent to the Cyclones by the NHL's New Jersey Devils. Clouthier was playing with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. In 27 games with Albany this year, Clouthier was held scoreless and recorded 84 penalty minutes.

This assignment marks Clouthier's third tour of duty with the Cyclones this season. In his first stint (Nov. 14-19), Clouthier played three games recording a goal and two assists. In his second tour with the Clones (Dec. 12-21), Clouthier played five games and recorded two goals and an assist. On the season, Clouthier has three goals and three assists for six points in eight ECHL games.

Clouthier is in his third season of professional hockey. In 171 professional games, Clouthier has 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points. Clouthier has also accumulated 422 penalty minutes in his pro career.

Clouthier will be in the line-up tonight when the Cyclones take on the division leading Wheeling Nailers. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at U.S. Bank Arena.
