After three scoreless innings the Lakewood BlueClaws got on the board first with a RBI single by C Jason Jaramillo scoring SS Brad Harmon. Then at the top of the fifth Lakewood scored five runs off starter RHP Kevin Hart. The BlueClaws then lead six nothing going into the bottom of the fifth. In the fifth the Shorebirds scored three runs on RBI singles by SS Rafael Diaz and 2BGary Cates, and on a sacrifice fly from 3B Eric Grimm. Lakewood tacked on their seventh run in the top of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Sean Gamble scoring Chris Klemm. Shorebirds cut it to three in the bottom of the eighth on a RBI double by Jason Fransz.
