FRISCO, Texas - Reliever Emmanuel Clase was named to the Texas League's Postseason All-Star Team, the league announced Wednesday.
The 21-year-old flamethrower spent the bulk of his campaign with the Riders in 2019, logging a 3.35 ERA in 33 appearances with 11 saves and 39 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings. In his final 20 games with the Riders, he had a 0.72 ERA and converted all nine save chances.
Clase was promoted directly from Frisco to the Rangers on August 2 and made his Major League debut with Texas August 4 as one of 13 former Riders to make his Major League debut this season.
