
Cincinnati's Daoust Named CCM TACKS ECHL Player Of The Month

PRINCETON, N.J. -Jean-Michel
Daoust of the Cincinnati Cyclones is the CCM TACKS ECHL Player
of the Month for November.
The 24 year old had 11 goals, including three power-play goals and three
shorthand goals, 10 assists and a plus-minus rating of +12 in November as
the Cyclones went 10-3-1 to move into a tie for first in the North
Division.
After beginning a 10-game point streak on Nov. 7 by scoring the game
winner on the power play for a 4-0 win at home against Wheeling, Daoust had
two points (1g-1a) in an 8-1 win against Augusta on Nov. 8 and a power-play
goal in a 4-3 overtime loss against Augusta on Nov. 10.
He started a five-game streak multiple-point games with a goal and an
assist in a 5-1 win at Dayton on Nov. 13. He scored a goal and an assist in
a 5-1 win against Trenton on Nov. 14 before recording season bests with two
goals, including the game winner on the power play, and three points in a
5-4 win at Dayton on Nov. 18. Daoust scored the game winner and tied his
season highs with two assists and three points in a 3-1 win against
Wheeling on Nov. 20, and equaled season bests with two goals and three
points in a 7-5 loss against Dayton on Nov. 23.
The 5-foot-7 and 170-pound Daoust is tied for third in the ECHL with three
game-winning goals and 26 points while his 15 assists tie him for fifth.
He played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he
had 276 points (104g-172a) and 361 penalty minutes in 272 regular season
games and 62 points (21g-41a) and 63 penalty minutes in 50 playoff games
with Hull and Gatineau.
The Valleyfield, Quebec native had 62 points (32g-30a) and 63 penalty
minutes in 71 regular season games and eight points (3g-5a) and eight
penalty minutes in 10 Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Cyclones in 2006-07.
He played his rookie season in 2005-06 in the United Hockey League, which
ceased operations after the 2006-07 season, and had 65 points (30g-35a) and
73 penalty minutes in 70 regular season games and 11 points (7g-4a) and
eight penalty minutes in 18 playoff games with Danbury.
