ANCHORAGE, Alaska - For the fourth consecutive game, Alaska outshot its opponent in every period, and Wednesday, received its just reward, a convincing 4-1 victory over struggling Bakersfield before 3,929 at Sullivan Arena.

The Aces dominated from the outset, taking 13 of the game's first 18 shots on goal to grab a 2-0 lead after the opening 20 minutes. Cam Keith set up Barrett Heisten's stuff off the rush at 6:09, followed by Peter Metcalf's first goal of the year, a wrist shot from between the circles five minutes later.

The second period offered more of the same, although Andrew Ianiero put the Condors on the board just 50 seconds into the frame, whittling the deficit to 2-1. Joey Hope hammered a slap shot just underneath the crossbar from the top the right circle three minutes later for his first goal of the year, and the sixth of his five-year pro career. The capper came at the 7:26 mark of the third period, when Josh Soares faked a wrist shot, brought the puck around to his backhand, and casually flipped his team-leading 13th goal of the year over Bakersfield goalie Jamie Hodson's left shoulder.

The Aces out-shot the Condors (5-11-5) 29-13 over the first two periods and 36-18 for the game.
