Derek MacKenzie, J.P. Vigier and Lonny Bohonos scored for Chicago, which has won just one of its last six games (1-4-0-1).
Adam Berkhoel, a University of Denver product, made 28 saves in the loss for the Wolves in his AHL debut.
The Ducks and Wolves complete a two-game, home-and-home series tonight at 8:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena.
