Bulldogs lose to Crunch

Syracuse, NY - The Hamilton Bulldogs dropped a 4-1 decision to the Syracuse Crunch in front of 5,671 fans at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter. The Bulldogs record through 17 games now falls to six wins, seven losses, three overtime losses and one shootout loss.

The Crunch quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, as Mike Pandolfo, Mark Hartigan and Raffaele Sannitz each scored goals for the Crunch.

After a scoreless second period, forward Tomas Plekanec put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard at 8:29 of the third. Plekanec's marker, which was assisted by Dan Jancevski, was the Bulldogs' first goal since Steve Ott scored for Hamilton at the 6:52 mark of the third period versus Binghamton on Friday, November 12th. The Bulldogs went 186:37 without scoring a goal.

Hartigan sealed the victory for the Crunch with his second goal of the night at 14:28 of the third period.

In goal, Bulldogs goaltender Yann Danis made 32 saves and suffered the loss. Crunch netminder Pascal Leclaire earned his fifth win of the season by stopping 25 shots.

Both the Bulldogs and the Crunch went 0 for 1 on the power play.
