Chihuahuas Win Ninth Straight

The El Paso Chihuahuas hit three home runs in their 14-2 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes Thursday night. It was El Paso's ninth consecutive win to set a team record. It was also the Chihuahuas' 16th consecutive home win. The Chihuahuas have won 42 of their last 57 games and swept their last four home series.

Cal Quantrill allowed only one earned run in six innings, marking the 18th straight game a Chihuahuas' starting pitcher has allowed three or fewer earned runs. Dusty Coleman went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs for El Paso. Shane Peterson went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI for the Chihuahuas.

Ty France homered for the third consecutive game for the Chihuahuas and Forrestt Allday went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer. Thursday's attendance at Southwest University Park pushed the season total past 500,000 for the fifth consecutive year.
