El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The Fresno Grizzlies beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 5-1 Thursday to give El Paso its first series loss since July 12-15 versus Reno. Fresno won two of the three games but the Chihuahuas won four of seven on their road trip.

Luis Perdomo allowed three runs on eight hits in 3.1 innings in his second MLB injury rehab start for the Chihuahuas. Kyle Lloyd and Dillon Overton pitched scoreless relief outings following Perdomo's start. Brady Rodgers threw seven shutout innings for Fresno Thursday, facing the minimum number of Chihuahuas' batters through the first five innings.

El Paso's lone run came on an RBI double by Shane Peterson, who went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. The Chihuahuas remain one victory behind the Memphis Redbirds for most wins in the Pacific Coast League this season.
