Geneva, IL - The Peoria Chiefs kept the bats going Saturday night and crushed the Kane County Cougars with a 15-3 win including 14 hits and the first professional home run from 2011 first-round pick Javier Baez. The Chiefs set season highs in runs scored and margin of victory while improving to 25-31 on the season.

Hoilman walked again and Darvill singled home Giansanti for a 4-0 Chiefs lead. Baez stepped in and launched his first professional home run past the scoreboards in left-center field for a 7-0 lead.
