Chiefs beat Inferno 4-2

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 21, 2007)- The Columbia Inferno (6-7-1-1, 14 points) started their northern road swing with a 4-2 loss to the Johnstown Chiefs (7-5-0-1, 15 points).

Chiefs center Rob Drummond scored the game's first goal just two minutes into the first period when he put his sixth goal of the season past Inferno goalie Todd Ford.

Johnstown padded their lead 2-0 when center Ryan Garlock notched a shorthanded tally a minute into the second period for his seventh goal of the year. Drummond scored again with a shorthanded goal of his own just 30 seconds later to help the Chiefs open a 3-0 lead.

Inferno winger Jeff Miles put Columbia on the board three minutes into the second period

when his ninth goal of the year beat Johnstown goalie Andrew Penner. Defenseman Bryan Rodney and winger Anthony Battaglia scored assists on Miles' goal.

Johnstown made the score 4-1 at the 8:22 mark of the third period when center Jean Desrochers beat Ford on the power play for his fourth goal of the season.

Miles notched his second goal of the game at 15:58 to trim the score to 4-2 in favor of Johnstown.

Ford finished with 30 saves on 34 shots, while Penner stopped 30 of 32.
